Who can join?
RSPH is a diverse and inclusive organisation for anyone involved with the health of the public. Whether you work in the core public health sector, the wider public health workforce or you’re studying for a future career in the field, our membership offer has an option for you.We offer four main Grades of Membership:
- Student: For students undertaking a full time undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in public health or a related discipline.
- Associate: For those working in a field that benefits public health but sits outside of the core workforce, e.g. town planners, food safety operatives, pest controllers, community champions.
- Member: For those with a career commitment to public health. You must be educated to Bachelors Degree or equivalent from an academic institution or a recognised professional body, or hold a Level 3 (or above) qualification from the RSPH or other recognised professional body.
- Fellow: For those with a long-term career commitment to the improvement of public health. You must be educated to post-graduate level or equivalent from an academic institution or a recognised professional body, have 5 years’ experience in a public health related post, or be a registered Member of the UKPHR.

- Sign up for an online account and verify your email address
- Log into My RSPH and complete the RSPH membership application form
- Choose your membership level and payment type (You can either pay via Invoice, Credit Card or Direct Debit)
- Submit your form - our membership team will review your application
- Your membership is confirmed and we will send you a membership certificate
Membership fees
Our standard annual membership fees are:Fellows - £162
Members - £113
Associates - £43
Students - £30
We offer a 5% discount on the annual fee for payment by Direct Debit.
Please note that there is also a £45 one-off joining fee for online applications or £50 for paper applications (this is applicable to all membership grades except Student Member).
